Is FBR extending dates of tax returns fy2023 ? Refer to Circular No.4 of 2023-24 IR-Operations “Extension in Date of Filing of Income Tax Returns for the Tax Year 2023” Federal Board of Revenues (FBR), Pakistan had announced to extend the date of Income Tax return filling for the Tax year 2023.

Earlier September 30th, 20223 was declared as last date for the person who were required to file there tax return by the due date.

Now as per above mentioned circular/notification the last date to file tax returns has been extended to 31th October 2023.

Federal Board of Revenues (FBR) has decided to extend the date in view of the request from various Trade bodies and Tax bar associations.

Further extension in Tax returns filling date ?

As of now October 31,2023 is still the last date to file tax returns for the year 2023 so in case if you still haven’t submitted your return Please file it today and don’t wait for the last date to avoid any penalties by the regulator you for not filling tax return before the due date.
